Essential Lavender Oil properties: mobile colorless or yellow-green liquid, slightly burning bitter taste, with the smell of fresh lavender flowers with a touch of wood.

The main components of the oil: The composition of lavender oil contains about 300 different organic compounds. The main of them: linalyl acetate (35 – 55%), linalool (30-35%), terpinene-4-ol (up to 5%), lavandulyl acetate. A unique aroma of lavender oil is given not only by basic, but also by minor components, many of which have strong odor and small smell thresholds.

These include α-thujene, α-pinene, camphene, sabinene, 3-octenol, myrcene, α-phellandrene, α-terpinene, cymene, limonene, 1,8-cineole, ocimene, terpinene, terpinolene, sabinenhydrate, 1-octene -3-yl-acetate, borneol, lavandulol, α-terpineol, nerol, bornylacetate, nerylacetate, geranyl acetate, β-cariophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, coumarin, β-farnesene, germacren D, γ-cadinene.

Action: bactericidal, antifungal, antiviral, antiparasitic, antiseptic, anticonvulsant, antiallergic, expectorant, antispasmodic, antisclerotic, tonic, antiseptic, antitoxic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory, sedative, analgesic, choleretic, radioprotective, hypotensive, carminative, diuretic, diaphoretic, sedative, cytofilactic, deodorant.

It balances the processes in the central nervous system. Improves mood, calms, relieves overexcitation, reduces aggression, eliminates tearfulness, hysterical reactions and insomnia, causes a state of inner peace, is a strong antidepressant.

Lavender shows the properties of the adaptogen, increasing the adaptive capabilities of the organism to new climatic conditions, the change of time zones, magnetic disturbances.

The Essential Oil Lavender shows a high bactericidal activity against cocci and rod-shaped bacteria. It is an effective immunomodulator. Acting on the T-link of immunity, increases the number and functional activity of T and NK cells, increases the number of T-helpers, while reducing the number of T-suppressors.

Normalizes the functional activity of B-lymphocytes, increases the content of IgM, reduces the level of IgE. The increase in the immunological reactivity of the organism, as well as its non-specific resistance and the decrease in microbial-virus air contamination in the aromatization of premises, significantly reduces the incidence of acute respiratory infections and influenza in children’s pre-school institutions, schools and production teams.

Possessing the properties of an antioxidant, lavender normalizes the parameters of lipid peroxidation. This reduces the content of diene conjugates in the blood, which are secondary products of lipid peroxidation. Antioxidant properties help slow down the aging of cells.

Stabilizing the permeability of cell membranes and increasing their energy potential, lavender increases the viability of cells in the body. By influencing the activity of the corresponding enzymes, the oil normalizes cellular redox reactions. At the same time, lipid metabolism is normalized: the increased level of common lipids and beta-lipoproteins, which are important in the development of atherosclerosis, decreases (the coefficient of atherogenicity decreases). In experiments, the ability of the oil to “clean” blood vessels from atherogenic plaques is confirmed.

Positively affecting the condition of capillaries, oil improves blood flow to the brain and heart. Lavender tones up the heart, reduces heart rate, helps lower blood pressure.

Lavender oil has a pronounced anti-inflammatory activity, primarily due to its inhibitory effect on enzymes that oxidize lipids. This normalizes the blood formula, which reduces the number of stab neutrophils and increases the number of lymphocytes. The oil increases the activity of lung surfactant, the amount of which decreases in chronic pulmonary diseases.

Essential Oil Lavender has a normalizing effect on the hormonal status. Raising the level of corticosterone by 2 times, it helps improve attention and memory, increase the quantity and quality of the work performed and reduce the number of errors. At some pathologies raises the reduced indicators of an insulin.

It has a pronounced radioprotective effect, increasing the resistance of the organism with long-term action of low radiation doses. In this case, the reserve capabilities of bone marrow hematopoiesis increase, leukopenia, lymphopenia and erythrocytosis are removed.

Essential Oil Lavender is an effective detoxifier. It is able to form complexes with cations of lead and other heavy metals and their subsequent excretion from the body.
Regulates the menstrual cycle. Accelerates the process of childbirth, strengthening labor activity and reducing pain.

Increases gastrointestinal secretion, stimulates the secretion of bile, improves digestion. Promotes skin regeneration.
