Transparent or yellowish, easily flowing liquid with a pleasant, intensely balsamic odor with a greasy note, like a pine needles. Depending on the place of growth, sun exposure and soil, the aroma of oil can vary from mild, mature to harsh and fatty.

The main components of the Alpine pine oil

α-pinene (10%), β-pinene (5%), limonene (4%), α-fellandrene (17%), Δ3-carene, caprylic aldehyde (0.5%), borneol (10%), bornylacetate (5%), camphor, α-terpineol, terpinylacetate, citronellol, citronellyl acetate, cumin aldehyde, thymol methyl ether, and others. The share of monoterpene hydrocarbons in oil exceeds 75%.

Alpine pine oil recipes

  • For inhalations – 2-3 drops, the duration of the procedure is 5-7 minutes. With respiratory disease, good results are obtained by inhalation with a mixture consisting of 1 gram of lavender, 2 g of pine, 2 g of thyme, 4 g of eucalyptus essential oils and 150 ml of ethyl alcohol of 90%.
  • For grits – 7-9 drops per 15 ml of basic fat vegetable oil.
  • For massage – 7-10 drops per 10 ml of vegetable oil.
  • For the enrichment of creams, tonics – 4-5 drops per 5 ml of the base.
  • Alcohol solution for sauna: 5 drops per 10 ml 90% ethyl alcohol. 10 drops of this solution per 10 liters of water.

Side effects of alpine pine oil

Check the fragrance for individual tolerability. Do not use continuously for more than 7 days. Unlike some other softwood oils, pine mountain oil does not irritate the kidneys, but nevertheless one should refrain from using it for acute inflammation of the kidneys.

Storage conditions

Essential oils are stored in tightly sealed bottles of dark glass in a place inaccessible to children. The oil is not subject to long-term storage. Store in a cool place. Avoid direct sunlight.
